Individual Support
Many of our schools and workplaces have NEU Reps to help you with individual workplace issues, and they should be your first port of call. We also have an NEU Peterborough Caseworker who can support and guide you through specific issues such as sickness absence, grievances, investigations and capability; they can also accompany you to formal workplace meetings. Go to our ‘Contacts’ page to get in touch and request help if you don’t have a Rep in school.
Collective Issues
If there is a workplace issue that affects members, your Rep or our Secretary can support you in collective action, including: member meetings, anonymous surveys, collective grievances, negotiating with your employer – and of course, the last resort: industrial action. If you think there is an issue at work that affects members, talk to your Rep about organising a members’ meeting, or use our ‘Contacts’ page to let us know and we can help.
